Avantel surges on bagging contract worth Rs 117.88 crore from DRDO
Avantel is currently trading at Rs. 161.35, up by 4.60 points or 2.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 156.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 163.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 164.95 and Rs. 160.00 respectively. So far 2.36 lakh shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 215.00 on 10-Oct-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 117.70 on 23-Mar-2026.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 164.95 and Rs. 156.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4275.29 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.67% and 60.29% respectively.
Avantel has received a contract worth Rs 117.88 crore (inclusive of applicable taxes) from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The contract is for the development, installation & commission of ground segment hub for voice & data communication. The contract is to be executed by February 2029.
