Aurobindo Pharma moves up on entering into non-exclusive voluntary licensing agreement with MSD

Aurobindo Pharma is currently trading at Rs. 1543.35, up by 11.85 points or 0.77% from its previous closing of Rs. 1531.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1537.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1,545.95 and Rs. 1,533.05 respectively. So far 357 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1636.00 on 03-Jul-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1017.00 on 02-Sep-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1583.05 and Rs. 1513.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 88119.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.48% and 6.64% respectively.

Aurobindo Pharma has entered into a non-exclusive voluntary licensing agreement with MSD (trade name of Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, N.J., USA. Aurobindo Pharma is among a select group of global generic manufacturers to have signed this agreement. The royalty-free agreement will enable supply of generic alimatravir to cover 129 Low- & Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) which account for the majority of new HIV diagnoses globally, subject to applicable regulatory approvals and requirements.

Executing these agreements before Phase 3 trial enrollment is completed is a first in HIV prevention and is intended to enable the right scale-up where Aurobindo Pharma is licensed to manufacture and supply generic alimatravir, which will meet internationally recognized standards following regulatory approvals.
