Asian Paints moves up as its JV`s arm starts commercial production in Fujairah facility in UAE
Asian Paints is currently trading at Rs. 2343.50, up by 3.20 points or 0.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 2340.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 2328.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2366.50 and Rs. 2328.10 respectively. So far 33039 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3103.65 on 16-Oct-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2125.00 on 05-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2371.65 and Rs. 2320.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 224265.24 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.89% and 14.48% respectively.
Asian Paints’ joint venture (JV) -- Asian White Cement Holding’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Asian White Inc. FZE has commenced commercial production at its manufacturing facility in Fujairah, UAE, effective from October 12, 2025. The new facility has initial capacity of 2,65,000 tons per annum. The new capacity will undertake manufacturing and exporting white cement and white cement clinker, with an initial capacity of 2,65,000 tons per annum.
Earlier, in the FY 2023-24, the company had incorporated a joint venture (JV) company, Asian White Cement Holding (AWCHL), in Dubai International Financial Centre, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for the purpose of setting up an operating company in Fujairah, UAE and Asian White Inc. FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of (AWCHL), in the Fujairah Free Zone, UAE, for carrying out the business of manufacturing, trading and exporting white cement.
Asian Paints manufactures a wide range of paints for decorative and industrial use and also offers Wall Coverings, water proofing, adhesives and services under its portfolio.
