Ashok Leyland soars on reporting 5% rise in December sales
Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 226.35, up by 3.55 points or 1.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 222.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 224.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 227.25 and Rs. 224.60 respectively. So far 88088 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 264.70 on 27-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 157.65 on 14-Mar-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 227.25 and Rs. 218.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 65425.83 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.80% and 11.65% respectively.
Ashok Leyland has reported 5% rise in its total sales, including exports, at 16957 units in December 2024 as compared to 16154 units in December 2023. Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales stood at 5483 units in December 2024. Medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) Trucks and bus sales stood at 9238 units and 2236 units, respectively.
Domestic sales in December 2024 stood at 15713 units. Domestic LCV sales stood at 5225 units in December 2024. Domestic M&HCV Trucks and M&HCV bus sales stood at 8979 units and 1509 units, respectively.
