Amari Raaya Maldives appoints Chef Yogender Pal as Executive Chef
Amari Raaya Maldives has appointed Chef Yogender Pal as Executive Chef. With three decades of culinary experience, he has worked with leading Indian and International luxury hospitality brands such as The Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Marriott, Hilton, Intercontinental Hotels, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Claridges Hotels and Resorts, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining The Amari Raaya Maldives, he was leading the culinary operations at picturesque Grand Hyatt Kochi, Bolgatty India.
Chef Yogi, as he is popularly known, has been instrumental in opening specialty restaurants, commissioning kitchens and creating innovative dining concepts. His culinary and administrative achievements have been recognized by major publications and has received the Times Food Award for Treforni at Park Hyatt Hyderabad (Best Italian 2018), Times Food award for RIKA Park Hyatt Hyderabad (Best Modern Asian) and other recognitions. He has participated in leading food festivals across the globe.
With Amari Raaya Maldives having multiple outlets, each serving a large variety of culinary choices Chef Yogi is on his toes handling a team of over 30 chefs at the property.
Hailing from the picturesque town of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh and having lived across India, he has a flair for languages and can speak four Indian languages fluently. A very soft-spoken chef, he loves to read extensively and enjoys participating in marathons and kick-start his day with jogging around the island. He is the father of 2 young ladies and enjoys his family time whenever his schedule permits.
