ACME Group strengthens manufacturing portfolio and leadership to drive manufacturing business growth

In early 2025, MNRE included ACME Group in the ALMM list, enhancing its credibility as a solar module manufacturer. ACME has set up a separate entity under ACME group to operate it’s Renewable Equipment Manufacturing Business. The company established the solar module manufacturing facility at Jaipur with an annual capacity of 1.2 GW with an investment of Rs 230 crore. The Jaipur facility is designed to produce high-efficiency solar modules to cater to diverse applications—like utility-scale power plants, KUSUM projects, Export opportunities and rooftop installations.
The ALMM initiative supports India’s “Make in India” initiative by promoting local manufacturing, reducing import dependency, and generating new employment. It also aligns with India’s renewable energy targets by ensuring domestically made high-quality solar modules in installations.
As part of its business growth plans, ACME Group has strengthened its Business Leadership with the appointment of Mr. Jitendra Agrawal as the Chief Operating Officer for the Manufacturing Business. Jitendra brings strong leadership vision to scale-up ACME Group’s Renewable Equipment Manufacturing business in India as well as across key international markets. He will drive ACME’s ambitious growth and execution capabilities as the company firms up new investments to scale up the manufacturing business as part of its long-term plan to be present across the renewable product & ancillary equipment value chain.
Commenting on its business plans, Mr Jitendra Agrawal, COO of ACME Renewable Equipment Manufacturing Business said, “Our strategic entry into the renewable equipment manufacturing business marks a significant milestone in our journey to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy transition. We are committed to scaling up this business through new capacity enhancing investments, strengthening our portfolio and investing in manufacturing capacity.”
ACME’s portfolio strategy focuses on offering world-class solar modules. It has launched the ACM-HD144N N-Type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact popularly known as TOPCon Bifacial Dual Glass Mono Modules, which has peak power ratings of 600W. These dual-glass modules are best in class and come with a 30-year performance warranty. They help in reducing energy cost, shorten return on total investment including that of accessories, making them to be a great choice. The recent slash in GST rates from 12% to 5% on Solar modules makes investing in Solar Energy for all energy consumers even more attractive by reduction in payback period by another 2 to 3 months.
These solar modules are built to handle tough conditions, including salt, ammonia, sand, and other damaging factors. They have been tested and approved by major global standards like IEC, UL, and ISO, showing ACME’s strong focus on quality and trust. ACME is currently also undertaking to expand its manufacturing to backward integrate and scale its current capacity.
