TVS Motor Company reported total sales of 2,78,855 units in July 2021 up by 10% YoY. Two wheeler sales for the month registered a growth of 7.8% YoY to 2,62,728 units as compared to 243,788 units in July 2020. Two wheeler sales were driven by exports which registered a growth of 61.7% YoY to 87,559 units while domestic two wheeler registered a degrowth of 7.6% to 1,65,179 units. Three-wheeler sales registered a growth of 80.1% YoY to 16,127 units driven by exports while domestic volumes remained subdued. Overall the July sales numbers were in line with expectations and we expect TVS monthly sales numbers will continue to outperform the domestic two wheeler sales numbers driven by exports and continue to maintain a positive outlook on TVS Motors.
