Power Grid shines on getting shareholders nod to raise Rs 6,000 crore via bonds

Power Grid is currently trading at Rs. 183.60, up by 7.60 points or 4.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 176.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 176.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 183.70 and Rs. 176.20 respectively. So far 529027 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 188.63 on 15-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 115.99 on 15-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 183.70 and Rs. 175.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 126534.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.16% and 6.51% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has received shareholders’ approval to raise up to Rs 6,000 crore  from the domestic market through the issue of secured / unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative/ cumulative, redeemable, taxable/tax-free debentures/bonds under private placement during 2022-23 in up to 20 tranches.

All resolutions as set out in the Notice of 32nd Annual General Meeting have been duly approved by the Shareholders with requisite majority. A special resolution in this regard was listed on the agenda of the annual general meeting to be held on September 24, 2021.
