Power Grid Corporation of India surges on bagging two transmission projects

Power Grid Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 236.60, up by 6.55 points or 2.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 230.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 231.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 238.30 and Rs. 228.50 respectively. So far 614561 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 231.10 on 17-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 129.75 on 18-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 238.30 and Rs. 210.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 123413.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.27% and 6.39% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has bagged two electricity transmission projects under tariff-based competitive bidding norms. The first project is ''Transmission Systems Strengthening Scheme for evacuation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part D''. The second project is ''Transmission Systems Strengthening Scheme for evacuation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-F''.
