* The BSE Sensex ended at 54,843.98 up by 318.05 points or 0.58% after trading in a range of 54,874.10 and 54,536.65. There were 21 stocks advancing and 9 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 1.07%, and Small cap index was up by 1.97%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Utilities was up by 3.11%, Oil & Gas was up by 0.29%, Realty was up by 1.05%, Telecom was up by 0.53%, FMCG was up by 0.39%, and Capital Goods was up by 1.70%, while, Energy was down by 0.16%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Power Grid was up by 6.22%, Tech Mahiondra was up by 4.82%, HCL Tech was up by 2.82%, Titan was up by 2.60%, and L&T was up by 2.33%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Dr. Reddy was down by 0.67%, AIXS Bank was down by 0.49%, Mahindra & Mahindra was down by 0.33%, Indusind Bank was down by 0.30%, and Reliance was down by 0.28%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 16,364.40 up by 82.15 points or 0.50% after trading in a range of 16,375.50 and 16,286.90. There were 33 stocks advancing and 17 stocks declining.
