* The BSE Sensex ended at 51,025.48 up by 584.41 points or 1.16% after trading in a range of 51,111.94 and 50,396.10. There were 19 stocks advancing and 11 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in red; the BSE Mid cap index down by 0.66%, and Small cap index was down by 0.41%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, FMCG was up by 0.08%, while, Energy was down by 0.49%, Utilities was down by 1.85%, Capital Goods was down by 0.47%, Oil & Gas was down by 2.02%, Realty was down by 1.22%, and Telecom was down by 0.88%, top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Kotak Bank was up by 3.17%, HDFC Bank was up by 2.85%, ICICI Bank was up by 2.80%, HDFC was up by 2.68% and Tech Mahindra was up by 2.04%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were TATA Steel was down by 4.17%, Power Grid was down by 1.97%, ONGC was down by 1.23%, NTPC was down by 1.00%, and Bharti Airtel was down by 0.77%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,098.40 up by 142.20 points or 0.95% after trading in a range of 15,126.85 and 14,925.45. There were 24 stocks advancing and 26 stocks declining.
