Can vaccines be a game changer for the Pharma industry?
The Budget outlay for Health and Wellbeing is 2,23,846 crores in BE 2021-22 as against this year’s BE of 94,452 crores an increase of 137 percentage. The Pneumococcal Vaccine, a Made in India product, is presently limited to only 5 states and will be rolled out across the country. This will avert more than 50,000 child deaths annually. Along with this separate 35,000 crores for Covid-19 vaccine in BE 2021-22 and if required more then committed to provide further funds also.
This will be positive for Cadila Healthcare and Pfizer Ltd.
