Perspective on Mumbai registration data By Dhaval Ajmera, Director of Ajmera & Infra India Ltd

"After witnessing record high property registrations in March and April, May 2022 data inferences suggested that the market activity seems to be attaining to the normalcy levels. But, in the month of June we saw an downward trend due to the inflationary pressures leading to high input cost and high interest rate regime. Real estate market is expected to be on normal levels and not expected to see any sharp surge or decline in numbers.

"However, this trend only shows the confidence that people have in real estate as an investment asset class. So, even though global scenario is looking unstable, people are continuing to invest in real estate which is a positive sign. However, there might be a fluctuation in the trend but we are confident that real estate market will be the most important investment asset class in the coming future."
