HIGHLIGHTS:
Nifty futures closed at 17283 on a positive note with 31.86% decrease in the open interest indicating Short Covering. Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 3 points compared to the previous day premium of 2 points. BankNifty closed at 37720 on positive note with 32.19% decrease in open interest indicating Short Coveirng. BankNifty Futures closed at a discount of 6 points compared to the previous day discount of 4 points.
FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 155 crores and were Sellers in Index Options to the tune of 4957 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 532 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 5018 crores. India VIX index is at 21.36 v/s 22.83. Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 18.05 whereas Nifty ATM Put option IV is quoting at 22.27.
