HIGHLIGHTS:

Nifty futures closed at 16635 on a negative note with 5.69% decrease in the open interest indicating Long Unwinding.

Nifty Futures closed at a discount of 18 points compared to the previous day discount of 30 points.

BankNifty closed at 34547 on negative note with 2.17% decrease in open interest indicating Long Unwinding

BankNifty Futures closed at a discount of 23 points compared to the previous day discount of 32 points.

FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 1163 crores and were Sellers in Index Options to the tune of 871 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 739 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 1850 crores.

India VIX index is at 18.97 v/s 16.34. Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 21.25 whereas Nifty ATM Put option IV is quoting at 22.40.
