NTPC inches up on reporting 12% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit
NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 150.15, up by 0.65 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 149.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 154.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 155.40 and Rs. 150.15 respectively. So far 192868 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 166.30 on 19-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 107.80 on 31-May-2021.

NTPC has reported rise of 25.51% in its net profit at Rs 5621.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 4479.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 20.86% at Rs 34130.05 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 28239.82 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 11.83% in its net profit at Rs 5199.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4649.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 19.05% at Rs 37724.42 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 31687.24 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported 17% rise in its net profit at Rs 16111.42 crore as compared to Rs 13769.52 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 15.92% at Rs 120042.43 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 103552.71 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 13.30% rise in its net profit at Rs 16960.29 crore as compared to Rs 14969.40 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 16.83% at Rs 134994.31 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 115546.83 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
