Amazon to acquire full stake in JV Prione Business Services
E-commerce major Amazon on Wednesday said it will acquire Prione Business Services - its joint venture firm with Catamaran, subject to requisite regulatory approvals. In August, Amazon and NR Narayana Murthy's Catamaran had announced that they will not continue their joint venture, Prione Business Services, beyond May 2022.
L&T Construction bags significant order from reputed developer
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday said its construction arm has bagged a significant order for its buildings and factories business from a reputed developer. The scope of work includes design and construction of entire civil structure, including waterproofing, masonry, plastering and electrical conduiting, L&T said in a statement. The residential business of buildings and factories has secured this order to construct one of the largest residential townships in Bengaluru.
Mahindra's SsangYong joins Chinese firm for EV battery development
SsangYong Motor Co, the South Korean unit of Indian carmaker Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, said on Wednesday it has signed an initial pact with Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD Auto Co for EV battery development. SsangYong Motor has signed a memorandum of understanding with BYD Auto to develop car batteries and produce battery packs for its models.

Honda Motorcycle starts export of NAVi bike to the US market
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Tuesday said Honda de Mxico has initiated exports of NAVi bike to the US market. HMSI had commenced export of NAVI CKD kits to Mexico in July 2021 and has so far dispatched over 5,000 kits to the country.
Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone rejigs India operations
Japanese tyre major Bridgestone Corporation on Tuesday announced organisational changes in its Indian operations, with Rajarshi Moitra to become Chief Commercial Officer and Sunil Puri appointed as Head of Sustainability. The changes are part of the company's strategy for the evolving Indian market and its thrust on sustainability in sync with Bridgestone Corporation's global sustainability strategy, the Japanese firm said in a statement.
Industry bodies urge RBI to extend card tokenisation deadline of Dec 31
The Merchant Payments Alliance of India (MPAI) and the Alliance of Digital India Foundation (ADIF) on Wednesday urged the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to extend the card-on-file (CoF) tokenisation deadline of December 31 for merchants. Citing several operational challenges that will hinder the transition to the token-based payments ecosystem, the industry bodies voiced their concerns over industry readiness on the RBI directive on cardon-file tokenization.
