Adani Group to raise over $1.5 bn to refinance Mumbai airport debt

Mumbai airport is looking to raise bonds worth $1.5 billion to refinance the debt of Mumbai’s international airport amid a slump in air travel owing to the ongoing pandemic. The plan to raise capital comes months after the Adani group announced acquisition of the GVK-group-owned MIAL. In February, the Adani group acquired 23.5 per cent stakes in the Mumbai airport from two South African investors, while the acquisition of GVK group’s 50.5 per cent stake in Mumbai airport is still in process.

 

ED attaches 3 Gurugram plots in money laundering case against Unitech Group

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday said it has attached a clutch of land parcels in Haryana worth over Rs 106 crore in connection with its money laundering probe against realty firm Unitech Group and its promoters Sanjay Chandra and Ajay Chandra. The federal investigative agency said in a statement that a provisional order for attachment of the three immovable properties located in Gurugram near here has been issued under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The total worth of these land properties is Rs 106.08 crore.

 

PNB advises Housing arm to rejig Carlyle deal as per Sebi order

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has advised its housing finance arm to restructure its fundraising deal with investors, led by the Carlyle Group, in accordance with the recent directive by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi). However, PNB Housing Finance has decided to wait for the Securities Appellate Tribunal’s (SAT) order, expected to be pronounced on July 12. A day before the scheduled hearing of SAT on July 5, PNB wrote to PNB Housing Finance, asking it to take cognisance of Sebi’s June 18 directive and consider restructuring the contours of the deal in line with the market regulator’s order. The PNB letter conveyed the decision taken by its board on July 3, based on legal opinion obtained from a law firm.

 

Sobha Q1 sales bookings up 40% at Rs 683 cr despite 2nd Covid wave

Bengaluru-based realty firm Sobha Ltd's sales bookings rose by 40 per cent to Rs 682.9 crore during the first quarter of this fiscal on better demand for its properties despite the second wave of COVID-19. The company had clocked sales bookings of Rs 487.7 crore in the year-ago period. "Achieved total sales volume of 895,539 square feet of super built-up area valued at Rs 6.83 billion," Sobha said in an operational update for the April-June quarter of FY'22.

 

Matrimony.com to buy wedding planning firm ShaadiSaga for Rs 11 cr

Matrimony.com on Wednesday said it will acquire Boatman Tech, which operates online wedding services company ShaadiSaga.com, for about Rs 11 crore. The deal will enable Matrimony.com to scale up its presence significantly in the North and West regions, strengthen its product capabilities and become the largest wedding services player across the country, a regulatory filing said.

 

Zomato raises IPO size amid robust demand; issue likely to open on July 14

Food delivery company Zomato’s Rs 9,375-crore initial public offering (IPO) will open for subscription on July 14, said investment banking sources on Wednesday. The company initially was looking to raise Rs 7,500 crore through the offering. Investment banking sources said the issue size has been increased because of the robust demand from investors.
