KRBL Q3 net profit down 8.47% at Rs 145.74 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 145.74 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020 as compared to Rs 159.22 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 8.47 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 15.67 per cent at Rs 1,120.69 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,328.98 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 15.62 per cent to Rs 919.86 crore from Rs 1,090.08 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 265.86 per cent at Rs 16.61 crore versus (Dec'19 Rs 4.54 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 15.94 per cent to Rs 200.83 crore as against Rs 238.90 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 0.33 per cent in December quarter. Interest declined by 67.17 per cent y-o-y to Rs 4.55 crore, while Taxation decreased by 6.30 per cent at Rs 49.11 crore (Dec'19 Rs 52.41 crore).
