JSW Ispat Special Q4 net profit down 86.50% at Rs 10.92 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 10.92 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 80.91 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 86.50 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 13.62 per cent at Rs 1,678.21 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,477.10 crore in the corresponding period last year. During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 23.40 per cent to Rs 1,568.95 crore from Rs 1,271.43 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 238.90 per cent at Rs 15.42 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 4.55 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 42.19 per cent to Rs 118.89 crore as against Rs 205.67 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 49.14 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 5.53 per cent y-o-y to Rs 67.94 crore
