Indian Women have been playing a pivotal role in the making of today’s India. Women have always played a crucial role in the growth of the economy and have made a substantial impact and achieved success across sectors. In fact, on this momentous occasion of International Women's Day , the dynamic women from all  walks of life whether a housewife or a working professional must be saluted for their immense and selfless contribution not only to society and the country but also for uplifting themselves from the traditional & mental shackles. They are the ultimate inspiration for the young ladies seeking individual and financial freedom in modern India.

And why single out any particular sex ? Even the men who are primarily credited for most of the development and advancement,  are nurtured by women as mothers, teachers and advisors.. It is fantastic to see everyone is leading the change  where India's economy is now scaling new highs after many centuries.

The US has been currently maintaining the top position in the world economy for well over 100 years. China which entered the top 10 list in late 1980s has been at the 2nd position for over 12 years.  India was at 10th position in 2014 and is at the 5th currently and we have a golden opportunity to move forward from here and again become the largest economy of the world.

However, before British rule and the loot of foreign invaders, India was a major economic power. India accounted for 32 per cent of the world's GDP in the first 1000 years of the first millennium and  28 per cent to 24 per cent upto 1700 in the second millennium. In earlier eras there was little difference in GDP per capita depending on the level of development, so in 1500, China was the world's largest economy, followed by India. To achieve that position today, along with hard work the country should encourage the large participation of women in every possible way"
