Nifty futures closed at 15773 on a positive note with 24.06% decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 3 points compared to previous day discount of 16 points.
BankNifty closed at 34776 on a negative note with 20.47 % decrease in open interest indicating Long Unwinding. BankNifty Futures closed at a discount of 9 points compared to the previous day premium of 1 points.
FII's were Buyers in Index Futures to the tune of 669 crores and were Buyers in Index Options to the tune of 6840 crores, Sellers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 337 crores. Net Buyers in derivative segment to the tune of 7182 crores.
