HIGHLIGHTS:
Nifty futures closed at 15846 on a negative note with 1.41% decrease in the open interest indicating Long Unwinding. Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 13 points compared to the previous day discount of 14 points
BankNifty closed at 35516 on a positive note with 2.48 % increase in open interest indicating Long Build Up. BankNifty Futures closed at a premium of 33 points compared to the previous day discount of 50 points.
FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 729 crores and were Buyers in Index Options to the tune of 1421 crores, Sellers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 1059 crores. Net Sellers in derivative segment to the tune of 213 crores.
