Nifty futures closed at 17474 on a positive note with 5.24% decrease in the open interest indicating Short Covering. Nifty Futures closed at a premium of 76 points compared to the previous day premium of 83 points. BankNifty closed at 41014 on Positive note with 21.46% decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. BankNifty Futures closed at a premium of 201 points compared to the previous day premium of 225 points.

FII's were Sellers in Index Futures to the tune of 512 and were Sellers in Index Option 2430 crores, Sellers in Stock Future 307 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 3227 crores.
