FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per August 18 data: NSDL

The FIIs as per Friday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 11654.68 crore against gross selling of Rs 12641.65 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 986.97 crore in equities.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 1091.46 crore with gross sales of Rs 917.26 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 174.20 crore in debt.
In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 731.91 crore against gross selling of Rs 12.66 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 719.25 crore in hybrid segment.
