Coal India shines after its production rises by 13.4% to 53.7 MT in July

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 239.70, up by 10.50 points or 4.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 229.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 230.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 240.45 and Rs. 229.00 respectively. So far 810143 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 263.30 on 09-Nov-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 205.50 on 04-Aug-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 240.45 and Rs. 226.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 147782.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.70% and 5.17% respectively.

Coal India’s coal production has increased by 13.4% to 53.7 million tonnes (MT) in July 2023 as against 47.3 MT in July 2022. The company’s production in the April- July 2023 period increased 10.7 per cent to 229.1 MT, compared with 207.1 MT in the year-ago period. 

The company's offtake increased by 9.3% to 59.5 MT in July, 2023, over 54.5 MT in the corresponding month of the previous financial year.  Its offtake in the April- July 2023 period increased by 6.3% to 246.5 MT over 232.0 MT in the year-ago period.
