Canara Bank jumps on reporting 74% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 345.00, up by 6.95 points or 2.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 338.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 339.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 351.30 and Rs. 334.10 respectively. So far 728458 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 351.30 on 24-Jul-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 207.45 on 28-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 351.30 and Rs. 325.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 62968.46 crore.

Canara Bank has reported 74.82% rise in its net profit at Rs 3534.84 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24) as compared to Rs 2022.03 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 27.71% at Rs 29823.08 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 23351.96 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the bank has reported 73.61% rise in its net profit at Rs 3573.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2023 as compared to Rs 2058.31 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 35.89% at Rs 32259.41 crore for Q1FY24 as compared Rs 23739.27 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
