Silver rose as the slower-than-expected inflation rate in US pressured dollar
Headline annual inflation fell to 3% in June from 4% in the previous month, slightly below market expectations of 3.1%.
Core consumer prices edged 0.2% higher from the previous month, the least in over two years.
The data followed a series of signals from Fed officials stating that the current tightening cycle is approaching its end.
