Bharti Airtel trades in green as its arm rolls out 1.5 lakh micro ATMS in phased manner

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 762.45, up by 1.05 points or 0.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 761.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 761.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 768.65 and Rs. 759.55 respectively. So far 349612 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 797.00 on 21-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 629.05 on 14-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 787.30 and Rs. 753.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 453304.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.76% and 5.31% respectively.

Bharti Airtel’s subsidiary -- Airtel Payments Bank has started rolling out 1.5 lakh micro ATMS in a phased manner across tier 2 cities and semi-urban regions to facilitate cash withdrawal for its customers. The Bank will gradually expand its service to cover more banking points in a phased manner.

Micro ATMs will be rolled out in a phased manner. Initially, the bank will place 1.50 lakh units in Tier II cities and semi-urban regions. These regions typically have a high demand for cash withdrawal services but limited access to ATMs. The bank will leverage its strong network of over 5 lakh banking points across India to give users access to easy cash withdrawals through this initiative. The company has plans to finish the rollout of 1.5 lakh micro ATMs by the end of the current fiscal.
