Bajaj Auto rides high on reporting 8% rise in August sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 4121.10, up by 36.00 points or 0.88% from its previous closing of Rs. 4085.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4000.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4130.15 and Rs. 4000.00 respectively. So far 7907 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4,130.15 on 01-Sept-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3028.35 on 20-Dec-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4,130.15 and Rs. 4000.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 117512.56 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.56% and 22.68% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported rise of 8% in total sales to 4,01,595 units in August 2022 as against 3,73,270 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales increased by 49 percent to 2,56,755 units in August as compared to 1,72,595 units in August 2021.

Total two-wheeler sales were up by 5 percent at 3,55,625 units as compared to 3,38,310 units in the year-ago month. Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 45,970 units in August 2022 as against 34,960 units in August 2021, registering a rise of 31 percent. Meanwhile, exports of the company stood at 1,44,840 units in the reporting month compared to 2,00,675 in the same month last year.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
