Bajaj Auto jumps on reporting 29% rise in May sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 4661.20, up by 97.75 points or 2.14% from its previous closing of Rs. 4563.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4526.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4670.35 and Rs. 4526.35 respectively. So far 7550 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4,670.35 on 01-june-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3462.05 on 30-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4670.35 and Rs. 4511.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 131392.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.21% and 21.80% respectively.

Bajaj Auto has reported rise of 29% in total sales to 3,55,148 units in May 2023 as against 2,75,868 in the same month last year. Total domestic (2?WH + CV) sales increased by 103% to 2,28,401 units in May 2023 as compared to 1,12,308 units in May 2022. Total export sales decreased by 23% to 1,26,747 units in May 2023 as compared to 1,63,560 units in May 2022. 

Total domestic two-wheeler sales were up by 103% at 1,94,811 units in May 2023 as compared to 96,102 units in the year-ago month. Total domestic Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 33,590 units in May 2023 as against 16,206 units in May 2022, registering a rise of 107%. 

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
