Critically acclaimed actors Tillotama Shome and Manav Kaul sat with ANI for an exclusive interview about their upcoming Netflix show ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ directed by ‘Mirzapur’ co-creator Puneet Krishna. The show will start streaming on Netflix 18th July onwards. The story revolves around the character of Tribhuvan Mishra, a middle-class man struggling financially, who turns to secret escort services, only to find himself entangled in lies, murder, and gangs, becoming corrupt. Speaking about the film Manav Kaul said, “We are very excited about our show ‘Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper’ which is coming on Netflix on July 18. This show is full of surprises…. People always have complained that why great shows don’t get made in India, this show will end this complain of people.” Tillotama Shome said, “There are very few Hindi shows or series that explores a woman’s desire beautifully... I don’t have problem with films about men for men by men but it would be nice if you saw men who are real. Because I don’t think the way we portray men in our cinema is realistic… When we get obsessed with the idea of masculinity and femininity we cut people and restrain them.”
