“Let’s make restoration of mother earth our mission on Earth Day. This is the time to make a sincere commitment to limit global warming to 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius. That can be achieved if navigate the ESG space. Companies serious about sustainability targets by demonstrating environmental stewardship, social responsibility and good governance deserve our backing. Encouraging part is the pandemic hasn’t impacted the ESG momentum. According to a study, ESG investments are poised to double this year. Globally, more than one in 10 (12%) of investors are planning to shift to ESG-related funds. India is active too. Investors believe ESG funds alone have potential to weather the climate storm and reward them with long-term stability. The Earth Day this year is a gentle nudge to remind that ESG ought to be our new frontier.”
