Avenue Supermarkets: The company, which owns and operates popular supermarket chain DMart, on Wednesday launched a qualified institutional placement (QIP) offering to raise up to ₹4,098 crore. Funds will be used to expand the company's store network, invest in supply chain and also to repay loans.
Sun Pharma: The index heavyweight will announce its earnings for the three months ended December later today. Another pharma company Aurobindo Pharma Ltd will also report its financial results for the third quarter of the current financial year.
IOC: The state-owned fuel retailer on Wednesday signed a contract with Russia's Rosneft Oil Company to import 2 million tonnes of crude oil per annum from the nation. The agreement was signed during India-Russia delegation-level talks. According to an ANI report, the two countries reviewed investments between India's state-owned n oil and gas companies and Rosneft.
Lupin: The pharmaceutical major will announce its earnings for the December quarter later today. The company on Wednesday said it has received approval of the US Food and Drug Administration for its Leflunomide tablets - a generic equivalent of Arava tablets SanofiAventis. The medicine will be manufactured at the company's Pithampur (Unit 1) facility.
HAL: The state-owned aerospace and defence company on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies Ltd (DTL) and Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd (IAI) at Defence Expo 2020. The MoU will enable manufacturing and selling of drones, according to an IANS report.
Coal India: The state-owned mining major is keen to tap non-power consumers to feed its incremental production post the monsoon season. According to a PTI report, the miner is looking to ramp up production to meet its targets for the current fiscal at a time when economic slowdown has hit demand.
Hero MotoCorp: The auto major will release its numbers for the third quarter today. Eicher Motors Ltd will also announce its results for the quarter-ended December. The Nifty Auto index was the biggest gainer in trade on Wednesday, rising more than 3%.
Indiabulls Housing: The housing finance company on Wednesday reported a 44.02% year-on-year fall in its consolidated net profit to ₹551.70 crore in the December quarter due to lower income. The company’s total income during the quarter declined 24.75% from a year ago to ₹3,369.76 crore, the company informed the exchanges.
Bata India: The shoemaker will announce its earnings for the December quarter today. Separately, state-owned lenders UCO Bank and United Bank of India will also report their financials results for the third quarter.
NBCC: The state-owned infrastructure company on Wednesday said it bagged business worth ₹934.91 crore in January. Separately, India’s largest real estate firm DLF Ltd reported a 23.8% rise in net profit to ₹413.10 crore for the December quarter. DLF, in a regulatory filing, said it remains focused on monetisation of its inventory.
