Jindal Stainless posts Q4 net profit of Rs 264.94 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 264.94 crore compared to net loss of Rs 21.98 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 31.19 per cent at Rs 3,809.63 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,903.96 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 23.50 per cent to Rs 3,288.27 crore from Rs 2,662.49 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 13.48 per cent at Rs 12.04 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 10.61 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 115.91 per cent to Rs 521.36 crore as against Rs 241.47 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 64.54 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 35.99 per cent y-o-y to Rs 91.50 crore, while Taxation increased by 965.95 per cent at Rs 140.89 crore (Mar'20 Rs -16.27 crore).
