The Nifty opened slightly lower for the day and corrected more during the day to close down by 1.1%. On the sectoral indices front, all the index participated in the correction to close in red. Nifty IT and Nifty PSU Bank corrected more than 2% due to profit booking. Today also, Tata Motors continued its rally, stock has given more than 30% return during the week and doubled in last 3 months due to strong sales reported by JLR. Bharti Airtel shares rallied by 3.8% due to increase in the company's weightage in MSCI as part of its February review. Global cues were weak, which led to increase in correction for the Indian market.
