In her discussion Sheenam shared the importance of aligning technology decisions for product development including shared services platforms with business outcomes to drive measurable value. Her recommendations to scale service model offerings was to miniaturize services by adopting a well-defined microservices architecture. By adopting platform-based microservices, organizations can achieve agility and scalability, breaking down complex processes into modular components. She further emphasised on the importance of having a critical mix of hiring the right talent with a
growth mindset and investing in upskilling the workforce to adapt to the changing technological landscape. The existing workforce have the business knowledge and therefore the ability to define problems well. Marrying this with industry knowledge and therefore acquired talent will definitely lead to a well-groomed organization.

Furthermore, Sheenam shared information about Broadridge’s Blockchain based ledger platform that was conceived as an idea at the location and today the GCC drives it for the globe. She was of the opinion that organisations should view technology as an enabler to deliver personalised experiences and real-time insights to customers. In conclusion, creating a customer centric culture, defining business problem statements around customer needs and then merging the right technology will be key to innovation and exceptional value to stakeholders.
