The FZ FI BS6 and MT-15 BS6 range receive the lowest price hike while the R15 gets the biggest increment. The R15 V3 comes in three different colours which interestingly receive different price hikes. The R15 Racing Blue option gets the biggest price hike not just in the R15 range but also amongst Yamaha’s BS6 portfolio.

The price hike is nominal but is a trend seen amongst manufacturers who’ve had to bear the costs of upgrading their lineup to meet BS6 norms and are have seen a loss in revenue due to the current COVID-19 lockdown. Manufacturers such as Hero MotoCorp and Honda too recently increased prices of their BS6 models.

Yamaha has updated almost all of its models to meet BS6 norms. The FZ25 is the only remaining model that is set to receive the updates. Expect the cleaner and greener version of the 250cc naked to launch soon. It gets new bodywork and features and a new ‘S’ variant this time around. Know more about the FZ 25 BS6 here.
