Gold futures were trading lower during afternoon trade in the domestic market on Monday as speculators were engaged in reducing their holdings amid profit booking. Analysts said off-loading of positions by participants amid profit booking led to the fall in gold prices. At the MCX, gold futures for October 2019 contract is trading at Rs 37700.00 per 10 grams, down by 0.63 per cent, after opening at Rs 37737.00, against a previous close of Rs 37938.00. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 37655.00(at 15:00 hours).
