CRISIL jumps despite reporting 5% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

CRISIL is currently trading at Rs. 1873.40, up by 14.60 points or 0.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 1858.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1856.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1901.20 and Rs. 1841.70 respectively. So far 879 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2125.00 on 02-Nov-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1355.00 on 29-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1920.00 and Rs. 1790.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13585.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.79% and 14.16% respectively.

CRISIL has reported results for first quarter ended March 31, 2021.

The company has reported over 2-fold jump in its net profit of Rs 181.28 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 81.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 61.73% at Rs 393.19 crore for quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared Rs 243.11 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 5.22% fall in its net profit at Rs 83.52 crore for the quarter under review as against net profit of Rs 88.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 11.02% at Rs 508.65 crore for quarter ended March 31, 2021 quarter as compared Rs 458.15 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
