Money earned through 20-20 cricket should be invested in Test format: Former Sri Lankan cricketer Arjuna Ranatunga

⁣Bengaluru: Former international cricketer from Sri Lanka Arjuna Ranatunga on May 03 spoke in favour of investing money in Test format of cricket. “20-20 cricket is very popular but I feel the money earned through this format should be invested in Test cricket. It's not just about entertainment but quality cricket. Some of the money should also go to the cricketers who played in the past. Authorities should invest in Test cricket,” he said. He also commented on India’s role in helping Sri Lanka amid the economic crisis. He said, “India has been a brother to Sri Lanka. We are thankful to India for extending all the support when we really needed it.”
