Cannes (France): Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur spoke about India’s journey in cinema at the Cannes 2022 in France on May 19. “India's red carpet presence captured the diversity of our cinematic excellence not only in the terms of representation of actors and filmmakers from various languages and regions but also the OTT platforms,” said Anurag Thakur.“India's journey has been beautifully captured and narrated through cinema. Today, Media and Entertainment sector in India is a significant contributor not only to the creative economy but also for projecting India's soft power abroad,” he added.
