The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 63.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020 as compared to Rs 7.59 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 739.66 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined by 0.39 per cent at Rs 1,368.28 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,373.64 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 5.58 per cent to Rs 1,196.43 crore from Rs 1,267.16 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 29.87 per cent at Rs 8.26 crore versus (Dec'19 Rs 6.36 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 60.20 per cent to Rs 178.89 crore as against Rs 111.67 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 60.76 per cent in December quarter. Interest declined by 28.96 per cent y-o-y to Rs 40.73 crore, while Taxation increased by 339.58 per cent at Rs 18.77 crore (Dec'19 Rs 4.27 crore).
