Maithan Alloys Q4 net profit up 36.84% at Rs 87.58 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 87.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 64.00 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 36.84 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 22.87 per cent at Rs 499.18 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 406.26 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 9.36 per cent to Rs 385.46 crore from Rs 352.47 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 79.36 per cent at Rs 6.16 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 29.84 crore). Operating Profit surged by 111.41 per cent to Rs 113.72 crore as against Rs 53.79 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 72.05 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 14.00 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.57 crore, while Taxation increased by 82.85 per cent at Rs 27.83 crore (Mar'20 Rs 15.22 crore).
