Maruti Suzuki launches new S-Presso with starting price at Rs 4.25 lakh

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Monday said it has launched new version of its entry level hatchback S-Presso priced between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom price). The manual variants of the model are priced between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 5.49 lakh while the trims with Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) are tagged at Rs 5.65 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh.

 

Vedanta keen to collaborate with auto sector to reduce aluminium imports

Vedanta Aluminium on Monday said it is keen on collaborating with the automotive industry, across the value chain, to bring down the industry's dependence on import of the metal. With growing consumer consciousness towards sustainability and strengthening of emission norms, there has been a significant rise in aluminium usage in vehicles, be it battery electric vehicles, hybrids or internal combustion engine vehicles.

 

L&T Realty to develop three projects worth Rs 8,000 cr in Mumbai region

L&T Realty on Monday said it has signed agreements to jointly develop projects worth Rs 8,000 crore in Mumbai region as part of its expansion plan. L&T Realty is the real estate development arm of Larsen & Toubro. "The company has entered into a binding agreement to jointly develop projects in South Mumbai, Western Suburbs and Thane worth Rs 8,000 crore, with development potential of 4.4 million square feet," L&T Realty said in a statement.

 

SBI has not decided on selling 26% stake in YES Bank, says report

State Bank of India (SBI), which currently holds 26 per cent stake in the YES Bank, will not take a decision to sell its stake this year. SBI is helping YES Bank in dealing with the private lender’s non performing assets (NPA). SBI is allowed to reduce the stake at the end of Financial Year 2022-23 (FY23) but it may not decide about that this financial year due to volatile market conditions, the 'Times of India' reported on Monday. SBI, the largest public sector lender in the country, is also unlikely to list any of its subsidiaries on the bourses, this year.

 

Jindal Stainless to supply 3,500 tonnes steel for USBRL tunnel project

Jindal Stainless will supply 3,500 tonnes stainless steel for the Indian Railway's Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) tunnel project coming up in Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement, the company said the project is a 272 km-long railway link between Jammu and Kashmir. This will be the first-ever application of stainless steel cable trays in an Indian railway project, the company said.

 

Porsche India sales up two folds at 378 units in first half of 2022

Luxury carmaker Porsche India on Monday reported an over two-fold jump in sales at 378 units in the first half of 2022. The company had posted sales of 173 units in January-June period last year. The arrival of Porsche's allelectric Taycan and a strong desire for SUVs carried the momentum through the first half of the year with 167 Cayenne and 125 Macan accounting for 77 per cent of all sales, Porsche India said in a statement.
