Dabur India's profit after tax jumps 28.4%, beats pre-Covid levels

Beating the lockdown blues, Dabur India put up a strong show in the AprilJune quarter. The firm reported a 28.4 per cent jump in its profit after tax (PAT) on a year-on-year basis. Its net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 438.3 crore, up from Rs 341.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The Ghaziabad-based firm’s operating revenue jumped 32 per cent, backed by a strong 34.4 per cent growth in volume uptake in its domestic market. Revenue from operations for April-June stood at Rs 2,611.5 crore compared to Rs 1,980 crore last year. Its performance was better than both the pre-Covid levels and the previous quarter.

 

Adani Ports' net profit jumps 77% to Rs 1,342 crore in June quarter

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) on Tuesday reported a 77.04 per cent jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,341.69 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year. The country's largest integrated logistics player had clocked a consolidated net profit of Rs 757.83 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. Its total income during the latest June quarter rose to Rs 4,938.43 crore, against Rs 2,749.46 crore in the year-ago period. The company's total expenses during the quarter under review increased to Rs 3,464.88 crore.

 

Tata Consumer Products' net profit falls 42% to Rs 200 cr in June quarter

Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) on Tuesday reported a decline of 42.05 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 200.24 crore for the first quarter ended June 2021, on account of one-time exceptional gains in the previous year. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 345.55 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, said TCPL, earlier known as Tata Global Beverages Ltd, in a BSE filing. However, its revenue from operations in April-June 2021 jumped 10.85 per cent to Rs 3,008.46 crore, compared with Rs 2,713.91 crore in the year-ago period.

 

Bharti Airtel posts net profit of Rs 284 cr in Q1, misses street estimates

Bharti Airtel on Tuesday reported a net profit of Rs 283.5 crore in the first quarter (Q1) ended June 30 of 2021-22. This was much lower than the consensus estimates, which had pegged the same at Rs 604 crore. The company had reported a loss of Rs 15,933 crore in the year-ago quarter on account of a one-time provision for dues related to adjusted gross revenue. The June quarter profit was aided by the sale of tower assets in Africa for $175 million (Rs 1,279.6 crore). On a sequential basis, the reported profit was down 63 per cent. But, the highlight was the operating performance.

 

Adani Enterprises Q1 FY22 consol PAT at Rs 271 crore, up 9 times YoY

Adani Enterprises reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 271.46 crore in the June quarter, up nine times (803 per cent) from the same period last year on the back of increased revenue and lower base of last year where the first wave of Covid-19 led to nationwide lockdown. The company’s topline more than doubled during the period under review to Rs 12,579 crore from Rs 5,265 crore in the corresponding period last year. The total tax outgo in the quarter gone was of Rs 183 crore. Consolidated earnings before interest, depreciation, taxes and ammortisation (EBIDTA) for the company increased 215 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

 

Kalpataru Power Transmission Q1 net jumps nearly 3-fold to Rs 78 cr

Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) on Tuesday reported a nearly three-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 78 crore for the June quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. The company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 28 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2020, it said in a BSE filing.
