Cochin Shipyard rises on signing MoU with DCI, IHC Holland BV to make world-class dredgers

Cochin Shipyard is currently trading at Rs. 380.85, up by 2.40 points or 0.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 378.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 381.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 388.95 and Rs. 380.40 respectively. So far 9320 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 396.30 on 11-Jan-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 209.00 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 395.90 and Rs. 318.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5017.61 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.42% and 17.72% respectively.

Cochin Shipyard has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) and IHC Holland BV to make world-class dredgers.The decision to get the vessels constructed in India is in line with the Government of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. DCI has been in talks with India's leading shipyard, CSL, which has expressed willingness to construct Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD's) adhering to the best designs & technologies available globally. Both organisation accordingly propose to ink an MoU in this regard. To enable the construction of highly complex dredgers and latest technology, CSL has been in discussions with IHC, Holland BV the global leaders in design & construction of dredgers for collaboration on the manufacture of dredgers in India under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
