CG Power and Indust posts Q3 net loss of Rs 326.05 cr

The company reported standalone net loss during the quarter stood at Rs 326.05 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 126.68 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 26.01 per cent at Rs 703.30 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 558.12 crore in the corresponding period last year. During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 11.16 per cent to Rs 625.94 crore from Rs 563.10 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 4.83 per cent at Rs 10.86 crore versus (Dec'19 Rs 10.36 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 1653.41 per cent to Rs 77.36 crore as against Rs -4.98 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 1335.96 per cent in December quarter. Interest declined by 84.90 per cent y-o-y to Rs 10.17 crore, while Taxation increased by 4620.34 per cent at Rs -415.39 crore (Dec'19 Rs -8.80 crore).
