ACC jumps on the BSE

ACC is currently trading at Rs. 2130.20, up by 13.90 points or 0.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 2116.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2111.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2132.00 and Rs. 2103.55 respectively. So far 2904 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2587.95 on 15-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1900.50 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2132.00 and Rs. 2055.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 39887.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.53%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.89% and 12.58% respectively.

ACC has adopted an advance technological approach to control carbon emissions. And this has revolutionised the manner in which the company monitors and controls its carbon emissions. The company has installed advanced primary and secondary abatement measures in addition to regular maintenance of equipment at its manufacturing locations across the country to minimise air emissions. This helps ACC to comply with the emission limit value mandated by various regulators.

ACC has also installed continuous emission monitoring systems at all of its 17 cement plants to monitor air emissions. Air quality is also monitored through the continuous ambient air quality monitoring stations. All plants have high efficiency bag filters in all operations, with the latest electrostatic precipitators deployed in clinker cooler applications. The equipment are also subject to periodic maintenance for maximum efficiency.

In addition, ACC has taken several measures to reduce CO2 emissions, such as reducing the clinker factor, improving Thermal Substitution Rate reducing Thermal and Electrical Energy intensity, implementing Waste Heat Recovery System and increasing the rate of renewable energy consumption, and introducing new technologies.
