USDINR

USDINR trading range for the day is 74.51-74.73.

USDINR settled flat as better-than-expected retail inflation print helped calm investors who were worried over RBI advancing its policy normalisation timeline.

Inflation stayed above the RBI's mandated 2%-6% target band for a second straight month, but eased on a month-on-month basis.

The recent slowdown in India's monsoon rains could play a spoiler and push up inflation yet again.

 

EURINR

EURINR trading range for the day is 88.1-88.54.

Euro bounced after dovish comments by the Fed chief broke a recent spike in Treasury yields

ECB President Lagarde said that the central bank will update its guidance on monetary stimulus at its next meeting.

Germany's consumer price inflation eased in June for the first time in six months, latest data from Destatis confirmed.

 

GBPINR

GBPINR trading range for the day is 102.91-103.89.

GBP recovered from lows after fresh data showed UK inflation rate hit 3-year highs of 2.5% in June.

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said the BoE would assess inflation data for things that could be temporary.

The unemployment rate in the UK edged up to 4.8% in the three months to May of 2021, compared to market forecasts of 4.7 percent.

 

JPYINR

JPYINR trading range for the day is 67.7-68.06.

JPY rose after U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell played down fears of the early easing of monetary support, sending the dollar lower.

Fed’s Powell said the U.S. job market "is still a ways off" from the progress that the central bank wants to see before reducing its support for the economy.

Japan’s currency in circulation and bank deposits hit a record high for the fourth straight month in June, data showed.
